Nordpeis and Sustainability
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 goals adopted by UN member states in 2015. These goals form a shared global agenda to combat poverty, ensure sustainable development, and protect our planet. The goals are closely interconnected and aim to create a sustainable future for people and our planet by 2030.
At Nordpeis, we work towards achieving all of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, but we have chosen to specifically focus on the goals where we can have the greatest positive impact.
Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
Nordpeis' initiatives: Promote a safe and secure work environment, protect workers' rights, ensure decent working conditions both in our operations and throughout the supply chain, and secure jobs and growth.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
Nordpeis' initiatives: Implement sustainable methods for chemical management, reduce emissions to air, water, and soil. Decrease resource consumption, reduce waste, and increase recycling and reuse efforts. Provide transparent information about sustainability in our reporting practices.
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Nordpeis' initiatives: Respect and uphold national and international laws and actively work to combat all forms of corruption. Establish systems for internal control to ensure compliance with laws and ethical business principles.
